WASHINGTON _ After police say a man stormed into a Pittsburgh synagogue and killed at least 11 people, a social media account with the suspected shooter's name began to circulate online.
Police have identified the suspect in the shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood as 46-year-old Robert Bowers. Six people _ including four police officers _ were also reported as injured in the shooting at the place of worship for Jews.
As news broke of the shooting, some on social media noted that Bowers had an account on the social media site Gab.
