'Suspected gun and ammo' seized after house searched in Dublin on Christmas Eve

A suspected gun and ammunition has been seized by gardai in Dublin on Christmas Eve.

Gardai from Kevin Street searched a property in the Basin Street area of Dublin 8 shortly after 5pm on Saturday, 24 December. They discovered a suspected firearm, magazine, and two rounds of ammunition concealed in the property.

The suspected firearm will now be sent to the Garda Ballistics Unit for analysis. No arrests have been made at this time, gardai say.
