Suspected drug dealer named after county line raid

A suspected drug dealer has been named after a police raid.

Officers carried out a warrant on Thorburn Road in New Ferry on Tuesday, December 13 as part of an investigation into a drugs county line being operated in New Ferry and Woodchurch between June and December 2022.

James Byrne, aged 21, of Thorburn Road, New Ferry was arrested and has now been charged on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin. He has been remanded in custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates' Court today.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "A man has been charged with the supply of crack cocaine and heroin following the execution of a warrant in New Ferry.

"Officers carried out a warrant on Thorburn Road yesterday (Tuesday, December 13) as part of an investigation into a drugs county line being operated in the New Ferry and Woodchurch area of Wirral between June and December 2022.

"James Byrne, aged 21, of Thorburn Road, New Ferry was arrested and has now been charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin. He has been remanded in custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates Court today."
