Filipino authorities transferred an accused child rapist to a children's hospital in Quezon City in order to administer medical tests requiring special equipment, officials say.

Religious leader Apollo Carreon Quiboloy, who has been placed on the FBI's most-wanted watchlist for alleged crimes such as child sex trafficking and sex trafficking by force, was taken to the Philippine Children's Medical Center in order to be subjected to medical tests for which specialized equipment was required, stated Philippine National Police (PNP).

He was then transferred to the Philippine Heart Center, where he is set to spend the remainder of his medical discharge from prison according to PNP public information office chief Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo.

He was granted the medical furlough by a Pasiq court on Nov. 8 due to heart issues he had been experiencing, reported PhilStar Global.

The court denied Quiboloy's request to be able to meet with visitors while at the Philippine Heart Center, where he will be until Saturday. He will then return to the PNP custodial facility.

"We will provide updates once all the tests are complete and any developments will be directed by the court regarding Quiboloy's status," Fajardo said.
