A man has been charged and two people have been arrested after police discovered suspected drugs in Southport.
Police were on patrol at around 2.30pm on Friday, March 24, when they spotted a suspected drug deal taking place. Officers then followed the Volvo estate car and stopped in on Marina Drive.
Two suspects were found with a quantity of suspected Class A drugs. A 32-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man, from Southport, were arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.

Officers then carried out a further search at a property on Forest Road. Karl Andrew Lord, 33, of Forest Road, was arrested and charged with affray, possession of a controlled Class B drug (cannabis) and obstructing a search.
The other two people who were arrested have been released under investigation.
