Authorities in Pennsylvania are investigating a man in connection to the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. According to NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny, the individual being interviewed had no prior arrests in New York.
The man was apprehended on gun charges at a McDonald's following a tip from an employee. During the search, officials discovered a gun with a suppressor similar to the one used in the crime, as well as multiple fake IDs. One of the IDs is believed to have been used by the suspect in New York City.
Chief Kenny announced that members of the NYPD detective bureau, along with the district attorney's office, are en route to Pennsylvania to conduct further interviews with the suspect. The individual is reported to be 26 years old and originally from Maryland, with his last known address in Honolulu, Hawaii.
