Speaking during the captain’s day event in Mumbai, Suryakumar made it clear that the Indian team is prepared to go ahead as per the ICC’s schedule. He stressed that India has not refused to play the match and that the team’s travel plans to Colombo are already in place.
“Our mindset is clear. We never said no to playing. The refusal has come from the other side. The ICC has announced the fixtures, our flight to Colombo is booked, and we are going. The rest we will see once we get there,” Suryakumar said.
