Dubai: India batter Suryakumar Yadav made massive gain in the ICC Men's T20I Player Rankings as his maiden T20I century in the final game of India's three-match T20I series against England.
As per the latest ICC rankings on Wednesday, the 31-year-old jumped an impressive 44 spots to fifth. The aggressive right-hander now the leading India batter in the shortest format of the game.
Yadav only made his international debut for India at the start of last year. In total he has four T20I half centuries to his name in the last 16 months, with his brilliant 117 from just 55 balls against England catching the eye of his skipper.
In the bowling chart, pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar entered the top 10 following his efforts with the ball against England in the T20 series. Bhuvneshwar was adjudged Player of the Series against England, with his impressive haul of 3/15 in the second match helping the 32-year-old rise seven places to equal seventh on the rankings for bowlers.
Harshal Patel jumped 10 spots to be on the 23rd position. (UNI)
