Under Clinton's leadership, the United States witnessed a period of fiscal discipline with three to four consecutive balanced budgets, capital gains tax cuts, welfare reform, and a thriving stock market.
On the other hand, the most overrated political figure according to the survey was former President Barack Obama. Many participants expressed their disappointment with his policies, citing a weak economy throughout his presidency and a lack of support for initiatives such as school choice that could have benefited black Americans. This widespread dissatisfaction with Obama ultimately led to his ranking as the most overrated in the survey.
Additionally, two other prominent presidents from the past, Woodrow Wilson and Franklin D. Roosevelt, were also considered overrated by the conservative leaders.
