Surveillance video reveals crucial evidence in San Antonio murder case

Pregnant teen and boyfriend found dead in San Antonio.

In a puzzling case that has left the community of San Antonio in shock, local authorities are urgently appealing to the public for information regarding the identities of two individuals captured in surveillance footage near the location where the bodies of a pregnant teen and her boyfriend were discovered earlier this week. The victims, identified as 18-year-old Savannah Soto and 22-year-old Matthew Guerra, were found with fatal gunshot wounds inside a parked car close to an apartment complex on Tuesday.

According to law enforcement officials, the bodies had been left undisturbed for several days prior to their discovery. Footage obtained by the police has been deemed crucial to the ongoing investigation, as it features two vehicles: a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a silver Kia Optima. Notably, the video captures an interaction between the respective drivers of these vehicles, with the driver of the pickup truck seen wiping down the side of the Kia Optima. Although the nature of this interaction remains unclear, authorities are focusing on it as a potential lead.

The timeline and location of the video are of utmost significance in this case. Recorded in close proximity to where the victims were ultimately found, it is believed to hold crucial clues. Specifically, the Kia Optima, which authorities believe belonged to Guerra, is prominently featured. The autopsy findings revealed that Guerra had died from a contact gunshot wound to the head, implying that the weapon was placed directly against his skull when fired. While the possibility of a murder-suicide has not been ruled out, investigators currently consider it unlikely, further deepening the intrigue surrounding the case.

In their relentless pursuit of justice, the police are meticulously examining additional surveillance footage and scouring social media platforms for any potential leads. They are determined to ascertain the identities of the perpetrators and uncover the motive behind this double homicide. The timeline leading up to the discovery of the victims compounds the complexity of the case. Notably, December 22nd marks the last known contact with Soto, who was nine months pregnant at the time. Tragically, she failed to attend a scheduled appointment with her obstetrician on December 23rd, raising concerns among her family members about her well-being. The grim discovery of Guerra and Soto's lifeless bodies on December 26th has since transformed this investigation into a capital murder case.

The San Antonio Police Department is urging anyone with information related to this incident to come forward and assist in the efforts to bring the culprits to justice. The community's cooperation is vital to shedding light on this perplexing crime, providing closure to grieving families, and ensuring the safety and security of the city's residents.
