Supreme Court temporarily allows Trump’s ballroom construction to continue

  • The Supreme Court has allowed Donald Trump to continue construction on a White House military complex and fortified ballroom while a legal challenge proceeds.
  • Chief Justice John Roberts issued the order, temporarily setting aside a federal appeals court ruling that had halted the East Wing project over a lack of congressional approval.

  • Estimated costs for the project have risen from $200 million to at least $400 million, funded by private donations and over $300 million reallocated from the Secret Service budget.
