Superstar DJ Calvin Harris poses with Hearts fans in Florence for Fiorentina match

Scottish DJ Calvin Harris was spotted in Florence ahead of Hearts' clash with Fiorentina on Thursday.

Thousands of football fans descended on Italy for the highly anticipated game but two Jambos bumped into none other that Calvin Harris.

Posted by proud Hearts fan, Lee McKenzie, it was then shared by popular Facebook group, Scottish Football Away Days, showing Calvin, Lee and his girlfriend posing together in the Italian sun.

However, Calvin being from Dumfries, naturally supports Queen of the South Football Club, and according to Lee, was in Florence just on holiday.

Lee commented that it was "best thing to happen", on the day.

The I Feel So Close To You Right Now singer shared a snapshot of his holiday on his Instagram stories. It appears he has visited one of the cathedrals and in the selfie he is wearing the same white top as featured in the fan's photo.

Earlier in the day, the Jambos were snapped in joyful spirits as they headed to the European city for the big game. Ahead of the match hundreds of fans were filmed crowded in a historic square singing proudly and letting off red flares.

Marking matchday four of the Europa Conference League, it resulted in a loss to Hearts with 5 -1 to Fiorentina.
