A supersize tower block with almost 400 flats could be built on the north-western edge of Leeds city centre.
Developers have formally submitted plans to build a 31-storey block off Wellington Street, directly opposite the site of the old Yorkshire Evening Post and Yorkshire Post offices.
A statement by architects working on behalf of the developers, Ridge Leeds S.A.R.L Group, said the scheme would be a “high quality” proposal with a mix of one, two and three-bedroom properties. In it, they said: “The emerging proposals allow for a wholesale change to this part of Leeds to provide a vibrant exciting edge to the city centre, and our proposal embraces this opportunity.”
