The 2024 SuperMotocross World Championship Playoff Rounds and Final locations have been announced, with zMAX Dragway at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, and The Strip at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway set to host the races this year. The Final will take place in Las Vegas, marking a return to the city where the Supercross Finals have historically been held.
Last year saw the introduction of the SuperMotocross World Championship, a playoff series that combines indoor stadium racing (Supercross) and outdoor motocross racing (Pro Motocross). The inaugural season was well-received by teams, athletes, industry, and fans, with over 110,000 attendees from around the world witnessing the crowning of a World Champion.
The unique track at zMAX Dragway, which hosted part of last year's SMX World Championship Playoff, was built on the famous four-lane dragstrip with grandstands on each side, providing fans with an up-close view of the action. The track layout for this year's event will be revealed in April.
The 2023 season saw strong viewership numbers, with over 23 million hours of viewership consumption across NBC, USA Network, and Peacock for the SuperMotocross World Championship season. The 2024 season has also started on a high note, with record attendance in consecutive markets and impressive viewership numbers on both broadcast and digital platforms.
Fans can look forward to the upcoming SuperMotocross Playoffs and Final this fall, as Feld Motor Sports, Inc. and MX Sports Pro Racing gear up for another thrilling season of off-road motorcycle racing.
