Boxing Day is usually a big time for retailers, but quite a few have made the decision to keep their doors closed this year to allow staff members time to spend with their loved ones.
Usually, many stores will remain closed on the big day itself, December 25, before reopening to the public for post-Christmas shopping the following day.
However, many retailers have changed up their festive opening hours, with many confirming that they will be remaining closed on December 26.
For many major stores, this will be the third consecutive year that their doors will have remained closed on Boxing Day after making the same decision in 2020 and 2021 during the pandemic.
