A major supermarket is set to pull out of an Ayrshire town.
Farmfoods will close its Troon store for good at the end of the month.
The frozen food giant has been a feature of the town's Portland Street for years.
But store bosses have told Ayrshire Live that its time on the main thoroughfare has come to an end.
The store will officially serve the last customer on Sunday, October 30.
A huge mega-sale on the closing date will see prices slashed to 50 per cent in a bid to shift the last remaining stock.
A spokesperson for Farmfoods told Ayrshire Live: "Farmfoods Troon will be closing at the end of the month.
"All stock will be reduced to 50 per cent on the final day in operation."
It is not known the reason for the closure with bosses unable to comment on why the store is closing.
