Superdrug launches 'supersize' £9 cleanser that has fans ditching major brands

Superdrug has upped its beauty game by launching a supersized version of a cleanser that shoppers have been comparing to major brands.

The health and beauty retailer's B. Skincare line is beloved by shoppers who are looking for good quality products while on a budget. One product from the range that has become iconic in its own right is the Melting Cleansing Balm.

If you have become one of the cleanser's devoted fans, then you will be excited to hear that Superdrug has just launched a brand new supersized version of the cult product that is 85% bigger.

When it was first launched, the B. Melting Cleansing Balm was available in a 65g tub for just £4.99. However, shoppers can now purchase a mammoth 120g tub for just £8.99.

What's even better, is that the larger-sized cleanser is included in Superdrug's 'half-price on selected B. Skincare' offer online where it has been reduced from its original £16.99.

The Melting Cleansing Balm has long been a fan-favourite among skincare fans who have compared it to pricier brands that include Elemis, Clinique and the Body Shop. The cleansing balm also came out on top in a blind test on ITV's This Morning last year.

Described as a velvety soft balm, the cleanser helps to completely remove every trace makeup, while leaving skin soft, hydrated and soothed, with no residue.

If you're wondering if the B. Melting Cleansing Balm is as good as everyone says, then it might be worth sifting through the multiple five-star reviews it has received from shoppers online who have compared it to pricier brands.

One glowing reviewer wrote: "The cleansing balm broke down my makeup completely and it made my skin feel very soft and supple...it is on par with the Clinique take the day off cleansing balm! I highly reccomend this product."

While a second happy shopper said: "Melts your make up away. I normally use body shop chamomile butter but though I’d give this a go as it was on special. I love it! Definitely on a par with body shop and cheaper too."

A third gushed: "Lovely product, it’s my first time buying it but will definitely buy again. I normally buy Elemis cleansing balm and this is a very good substitute. Takes off all my make up ( even eye makeup)."

A fourth said of the cleaning balm: "Amazing cleansing balm. Melts your makeup off and leaves your skin soft and makeup free! Ive tried elemis cleansing balm and its basically the same. vegan and cruelty free."

The B. Melting Cleansing Balm can be purchased a 65g tub for £4.99 or a 120g tub for £8.49.
