Superdrug diet product recalled over safety fears

Superdrug have recalled a diet product due to safety fears.

The health and beauty retailer i s recalling Slenderplan Tropical Smoothie Meal Replacement Shake because it may contain small pieces of metal, making it unsafe to drink. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) shares details on what you should do if you have bought an item being recalled for any reason, as well as detailed information on why the product is being pulled from shelves.

According to the FSA, the pack size of the product 208g (8x26g) sachets, batch code: 1050400 20 1050400 23, best before May, 31, 2023. The FSA said Superdrug has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.

These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tells them what to do if they have bought the product. The FSA warns if customers have bought the product to not drink it.

Instead, a customer should return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund. No receipt is required. If shoppers also want further information, to contact Superdrug Customer Relations on 03456 710709 or email help@superdrug.com.
