Supercomputer predicts Everton's Premier League fate compared to Bournemouth and Wolves

Everton’s final Premier League position for this season has been predicted by a supercomputer.

The Blues have gone into the mid-season break due to the World Cup in Qatar, and are now not back in action until mid-December. Everton went into the hiatus with a 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth in the top flight clash at the Vitality Stadium.

Frank Lampard ’s side are currently in 17th place in the league table and are just a single point above the relegation zone. Everton have 14 points, while Nottingham Forest are 18th with 13 points.

With no Premier League football for more than a month, a ‘supercomputer’ has attempted to predict where Everton will finish when the season reaches its conclusion. With Betting Expert ’s latest prediction has the Blues narrowly avoid relegation.

Their site states that “the supercomputer takes into account all match results from the season played so far, projecting the remainder of the season based on both pre-season expectations and xG earned both for and against up to the World Cup break.”

According to the prediction, Everton will finish in 17th place when the season finishes, and narrowly avoid relegation. It has been tipped that the Blues will amass 35.9 points, which is marginally ahead of Bournemouth who have been tipped to finish 18th and relegated with 35.4 points.

The other two teams predicted to be relegated to the Championship are Wolves with 34.9 points and Nottingham Forest with 34.3 points. Everton have been handed a 50.6% chances of dropping to the second tier of English football.

Should this prediction come true it would see Everton finish lower in the table than last season and with a lower points total. The 2021/22 campaign saw the Blues amass 39 points and finish in 16th place.
