Super73’s Newest E-Bike Was Engineered To Make You Feel Like A Kid Again

Electric bikes have become the bridge between fun and function. They’re clean, efficient, and practical, but they’re also redefining what it means to enjoy two wheels. They can turn a dull commute into a mini adventure and make short trips feel like playtime again. Some brands focus on utility and distance, but others, like Southern California’s Super73, lean into the lifestyle side of riding.

Super73 has made a name for itself by blending retro minibike looks with modern electric power. The brand has always embraced the surf, skate, and moto culture that defines its home base. With the new MZFT, it’s bringing that same rebellious energy to a more accessible level. At around $1,995, this is the most affordable way to join the Super73 family, aimed at both new riders and longtime fans who just want something simple and fun to hop on.

At first glance, the MZFT looks almost toy-like. Its compact proportions and low 27-inch seat height make you think it’s built for kids, and it could be, but really, it’s designed for kids at heart. The smaller frame gives it a playful stance, and once you see the spec sheet, you realize it’s no lightweight when it comes to capability. Underneath that chunky, moto-inspired silhouette is a tough aluminum frame paired with a 500-watt rear hub motor and a 52-volt, 10 Ah battery. It’ll do about 20 miles per charge or up to 40 miles if you add a second battery.

The MZFT’s top speed is limited to 20 miles per hour, which keeps it legal in most US cities under Class 2 e-bike rules. That means you can cruise down bike paths, through neighborhoods, or along beach roads without needing registration or a license. Its fat tires give it a planted, confident ride, letting you venture onto gravel or light dirt trails if you feel like mixing things up. You probably won’t take it trailblazing in the mountains, but it’s right at home around parks, campuses, and even the local skate or BMX park, where it looks like it belongs.

Despite its approachable size, the MZFT looks solid. At about 85 pounds, it’s easy enough to handle but built to last. Hydraulic brakes come standard, and there’s even a lockable storage compartment for small items. Everything about it screams simplicity and fun, it’s the kind of bike that makes you want to ride just because you can.

The MZFT’s real achievement is how it brings the thrill of electric mobility to almost anyone. It’s not about pushing boundaries or chasing specs. It’s about making electric riding feel natural, stylish, and carefree. Whether you’re cruising to the coffee shop, looping around your neighborhood, or carving around a parking lot just for kicks, the MZFT is designed to deliver that grin-inducing experience that Super73 is known for.

For all its modest power and approachable price, the MZFT might just be the most relatable bike the brand has ever made. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the best rides aren’t about going far or fast. They’re about feeling like a kid again.
