Socks really have it pretty rough. They spend most of their life either stuck in a drawer or on occasionally smelly feet. They never really see the light of day. Especially since socks are embraced in fall and winter to keep feet warm, almost completely hidden by seasonal footwear. We've decided to give them the respect they so richly deserve, however, by sporting spring socks all season long.
It makes sense to include them in our slightly warmer outfit strategy since spring can still be chilly. So slipping on a fancy pair allows you to rock sandals even when temperatures drop below 70 degrees. Fortunately, wearing socks with sandals has been removed from the fashion faux pas list and transferred to the trends to try list. See street style. It's also important to note that summer doesn't quite lend itself to this sartorial power move since you don't want to give your feet another reason to sweat in 90-degree heat.
