A rare copy of Harry Potter is set to go up for auction and is expected to fetch £10,000.
It currently belongs to a fan who received an exclusive edition of the first JK Rowling book when she was 16 after entering a publishing company competition. After a decade of it sitting in her attic, she has now decided to put it up for auction.
Childcare practitioner Chloe Esslemont entered the Bloomsbury competition when still a teen. She had to write a letter explaining in no more than 50 words why she loved Harry Potter, with entrants encouraged to draw and make their letters as elaborate as possible.
