The marquee super PAC supporting Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential bid is cautioning the campaign against heavily relying on labeling former President Donald Trump as a fascist in its closing message. The Future Forward super PAC, in an email to Democrats, questioned the effectiveness of attacking Trump on this basis compared to highlighting Harris’s economic plans and commitment to protecting reproductive rights.
This advice follows recent remarks by John Kelly, Trump’s former White House chief of staff, who stated that Trump could be categorized as a fascist. Harris herself referred to Trump as a fascist during a town hall event last week.
