Fans hoping to return to the Mushroom Kingdom may finally have an answer about when Mario’s next big-screen adventure could arrive. After the massive success of “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie,” actor Keegan-Michael Key appears to have confirmed that “Super Mario Movie 3” is likely targeting a 2029 release window, as per a report by Screenrant.

The update comes after months of speculation surrounding the future of Nintendo and Illumination’s blockbuster animated franchise. While studios have not officially announced a third installment, recent comments from Key, who voices Toad, strongly suggest the next chapter is already taking shape behind the scenes.
