Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals will have a chance at delivering the franchise's first ever championship when they take on the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI.
Burrow played a masterful game in the AFC Championship showdown with the highly favoured Kansas City Chiefs, helping the Bengals back from a 21-3 deficit to orchestrate a 27-24 overtime victory.
The second-year starter quarterback out of LSU finished with 23/38 completions for 250 yards and two touchdowns to take Cincinnati to their first Super Bowl since 1989 and just the third in the team's history.
It continues a playoff run of wonder for the Bengals, whose last post-season victory before this season came way back in 1991.
Since their inaugural season back in 1968, the Bengals have never won a championship. But with Burrow, rookie wide receiver JaMarr Chase and running back Joe Mixon all on form they're every chance of taking the Vince Lombardi Trophy back to Ohio.
But they won't have it all their own way after the Rams managed to grind out a 20-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game.
The Rams trailed 17-7 at the beginning of the final quarter but on the back of a Cooper Kupp touchdown, his second of the game, and two Matt Day field goals, Sean McVey's men managed to claw their way back and earn another Super Bowl berth.
McVey previously piloted the Rams to their Super Bowl LV loss to New England but with Kupp enjoying one of the greatest seasons by a receiver in NFL history and veteran passer Matthew Stafford hitting form at the right time, the Rams will fancy their chances.
Kupp was magnificent again, finishing with 11 catches for 142 yards to go with his two scores.
Star defensive tackle Aaron Donald came up big when it mattered most, forcing a desperate interception from 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo in the final minutes.
The Super Bowl will be played on the Rams' turf at SoFi Stadium, making them just the second team in NFL history to play a Super Bowl at their home stadium.
The Rams last won a championship in 1999, when they played in St Louis, and are currently four-point favourites to take home the title.
The game will be played on Monday, February 14 Australian time, with rap stars Eminem, Dr Dre and Kendrick Lamar, as well as singer Mary J Blige, to perform in the half-time entertainment.
