Attending the Super Bowl is often on the bucket list for many people.
Fans of either the Los Angeles Rams or Cincinnati Bengals can still grab tickets for the game at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. -- if they are willing to shell out a few thousand dollars.
While the tickets for the Super Bowl game itself are always expensive, fans can find deals on hotels and restaurants and other entertainment related to the game.
Here’s what to expect for attending the game, including hotels, transportation, food and entertainment.
Ticket Prices
Ticket prices for the game fluctuate as demand changes. Here is a sampling of prices from the NFL’s verified ticket resale partner, Ticketmaster (LYV) and two ticket brokers.
Fans who want to sit between the 40- and 50-yard lines will have to shell out a good chunk of money. Ticketmaster, at last check, had tickets for about $20,700 each in Section VIP111, row 2. Cheaper seats in the nose-bleed top-level corner of the end zone are selling for $3,100 on Ticketmaster.
Tickets in the upper corner of the end zone were selling for $3,335 at last check on ticket broker StubHub.
The average resale price of a ticket was $7,580 on ticket broker SeatGeek’s Ticket Tracker.
At this writing, the average ticket to Super Bowl LVI is $8,869, according to The Spun, the highest average for secondary-market tickets in the Super Bowl’s 56-year history. (The Spun is owned by Arena Group, the parent of TheStreet.)
Other most in-demand Super Bowls since 2010 include the following average prices:
• Super Bowl LV (Buccaneers vs. Chiefs) $8,609
• Super Bowl LIV (Chiefs vs. 49ers): $7,172
• Super Bowl LII (Patriots vs. Eagles): $5,373
• Super Bowl LIII (Rams vs. Patriots): $4,657
• Super Bowl LI (Falcons vs. Patriots): $4,487

Hotel, Transportation, Concerts and Other Costs
Football fans can still pay moderate prices for hotels. Based on prices on Hotels.com, rooms can run as low as $247 at the Holly Crest Hotel – Los Angeles, 0.6 mile (1 km) from the stadium.
Buying last-minute plane tickets will eat into the budgets. A round-trip flight on American Airlines from Cincinnati to Los Angeles for the weekend is now at least $817 if you leave on Saturday and return Monday. Most Sunday return tickets are sold out.
In the days prior to the Sunday game, there are activities, concerts and parties for people to attend.
The Super Bowl Music Fest at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Saturday features a concert with Green Day and Miley Cyrus with tickets starting at $75 on Ticketmaster.
The Super Bowl Experience presented by Lowe’s (LOW) is held at the Los Angeles Convention Center through Saturday.
The event features a pro football interactive theme park with participatory games, autograph sessions with NFL players and a chance to take photos with the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Tickets are $20 and children under age 12 attend free.
