Every game Kevin Durant plays, the Phoenix Suns star is prone to drawing double- and sometimes even triple-team defense. Although that’s long been an expectation, Durant apparently didn’t take too kindly to the Sacramento Kings’ tactics on Friday night.
After the Suns fell, 120–105, in Sacramento, Durant made his frustration with Kings coach Mike Brown clear when asked about the defensive looks he and Devin Booker saw. The 13-time All-Star revealed his NSFW response to Brown during a midgame exchange.
“I asked Mike Brown during the game, and he tried to give me a compliment, and I was like, ‘F— out of here, man,’” Durant told reporters with a smile, per Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic. “Stop all that doubling and tripling.”

Although Durant declined to share Brown’s exact remark, the coach likely attributed the pressure to the future Hall of Famer’s greatness and scoring ability.
Regardless, the Kings, now 2–0 this season against Phoenix, may have found a way to get an edge on a fellow Western Conference contender while also getting under Durant’s skin to some degree.
