Gold Coast have picked highly touted draftee Jed Walter for his AFL debut as the Suns seek to extend their fast start to the season.
The 18-year-old Walter, one of the Suns' four recent academy draftees, will play against the Western Bulldogs on Sunday.
Walter suffered a collarbone injury during the pre-season, but has been selected as the Suns chase a third consecutive win to start their year.
"It really is a dream come true, I couldn't be more excited," he said.
Walter - the No.3 pick at last year's draft and recruited alongside academy teammates Ethan Read, Jake Rogers and Will Graham - will debut in Ballarat against the Dogs, who lose James Harmes to suspension and again overlooked the experienced Jack Macrae.
The Bulldogs have named Oskar Baker, Sam Darcy, Taylor Duryea and Caleb Poulter in their extended squad.
Adelaide selected All Australian forward Taylor Walker in the side to meet Geelong on Friday night, but he remains in some doubt.
"Today was another light (training) session and we'll see how we pulls up," Crows coach Matthew Nicks said.
Key defender Jordon Butts was also picked, despite carrying an ankle injury.
The Crows also recalled Irish-born backman Mark Keane and Ned McHenry, while axing James Borlase, Lachlan Sholl and Lachlan Gollant.
