Sunderland vs Rotherham United team news as Tony Mowbray names unchanged XI

Tony Mowbray Sunderland Alex Neil Black Cats Lee Peltier Shane Ferguson Stadium of Light Stoke City

Tony Mowbray has named an unchanged line-up for his first game as Sunderland manager. Despite the 1-0 defeat to Norwich City on Saturday, the new boss has opted against ringing the changes ahead of a big night of action at the Stadium of Light.

The Black Cats aim to get back to winning ways on home soil after a disappointing loss at the weekend. Mowbray has stuck with Alex Neil's 3-5-2 system instead of reverting to his accustomed 4-3-3 setup that worked wonders while in charge of Blackburn Rovers.
