The race for promotion to the Premier League enters the final stretch as the Championship play-offs get underway, with Sunderland hosting Luton this evening in the first leg of the semi-final clash.
It’s six years since Sunderland last played in the top-flight, but in their first season back in the Championship they have the chance to secure successive promotions and bring the Tyne–Wear derby back to the Premier League.
As for Luton, it is less than a decade since they were playing non-league football, but after losing out in the play-offs last season, they will be desperate to book their place at Wembley this time.
