Sunderland target Edouard Michut is on Wearside today to watch the Black Cats take on Norwich City, amidst reports that he is set to seal a loan move to England. The Paris St Germain midfielder has been spotted in the directors' box at the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland were reported this week to have entered negotiations with PSG over the 19-year-old, although they were just one of a string of clubs from across Europe said to be interested in the teenager. Now Italy-based journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that a loan deal has been agreed, with a £4.25m option to buy, and with PSG due a percentage of any sell-on.
Michut has made six first-team appeances for PSG, including five last season as the club won the Ligue 1 title. But with new boss Christophe Galtier succeeding Mauricio Pochettino over the summer, the France U19 international has not been part of the first team squad so far this term and that has led to talk that PSG would be prepared to let him leave.
