Sunderland supporters were full or praise for their side's performance following a 3-0 win over Reading. A handful of red and white supporters likened the performance to that of 'prime Barcelona' under Pep Guardiola.
Watching Jack Clarke's goal - their third of the evening - you can see where they're coming from. The Black Cats responded brilliantly to losing Ellis Simms, a foot injury that means they finished the game without a fit recognised striker.
The injury to Ross Stewart against Middlesbrough was a real moment of concern, then with Simms following suit, it could have been a difficult evening for Tony Mowbray's side. However, two moments of magic from Patrick Roberts saw the game burst into life before the halfway stage, with Clarke adding another midway through the second-half.
