Sunderland supporters are delighted that Lynden Gooch has penned a new two-year deal with the club. The 26-year-old is currently the longest serving member of the Black Cats squad and calls Wearside his home.
Gooch came through the ranks at the Academy of Light and his new contract is set to take his association with the Club to 18 years. Neil's arrival at the club coincided with an impressive upturn in form for the United States international who flourish at right-wing back.
The Black Cats head coach has gone on record to state the importance of Gooch heading into next season, with the Black Cats fending off interest from Swansea City to extend his stay. Fans have since taken to social media to make their feelings clear.
