Sunderland support the people of Ukraine impacted by the current crisis

Sunderland will wear their yellow and blue away kit at the Stadium of Light against Crewe Alexandra tomorrow as a gesture of solidarity with the people of Ukraine following Russia's invasion of their country. The match-worn shirts - which feature the colours of Ukrainian flag - will be signed by the Sunderland players after the game and auctioned, with funds raised donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

Throughout the game, the screens at the Stadium of Light will display messages to encourage members of our community to donate to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, which provides support to those affected by the crisis. The messages will be visible throughout the stadium, including on the concourses and big screens, and to supporters worldwide across the club's digital channels.

A statement issued by the club via it's official website said: "Sunderland AFC stands in solidarity with all of those impacted by the events currently unfolding in Ukraine.

"We join our fellow EFL and Premier League clubs in calling for peace and are proud to be supporting the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal through the British Red Cross." Supporters can text EFL to 70141 to give £10 to the appeal, or visit redcross.org.uk/efl for further information.
