Sunderland came from behind to beat Luton Town - and take the lead in their two-legged Championship play-off semi-final. The Black Cats fell behind early at the Stadium of Light to Elijah Adebayo's strike, with Luton taking the lead from their first corner.
But Amad levelled things up with a stunning strike before half-time. And Trai Hume scored what turned out to be the winning goal just after the hour.
The two sides finished 11 points apart at the end of the regular Championship season, with Luton finishing third and Sunderland sixth. However it is Tony Mowbray's Wearsiders who will go into Tuesday night's second leg at Kenilworth Road with the priceless single-goal advantage.
