Sunderland suffered a home defeat at the hands of West Brom as the Baggies launched a second half fightback at the Stadium of Light. The Black Cats led through Amad's penalty inside 20 minutes, which the on-loan Manchester United man won and converted.
But in the second period, West Brom made substitutions which turned the game. First sub Tom Rogic levelled 20 minutes from time, before fellow sub Daryl Dike scored what turned out to be the winner inside the final ten minutes.
Sunderland could have climbed to seventh in the table had they held on to win, but instead they stay 11th. And West Brom's fourth successive win saw them climb out of the relegation zone to 17th in the table.
