A staple Sunderland park is set to host an outdoor cinema experience when the Adventure Cinema lands in Herrington Park in October.
With a fantastic view of Penshaw Monument, the country park is home to over 100 species of birds and has previously played host to a number of festivals and events in the past - like Radio One's Big Weekend, Kubix Festival and Rock the North East.
But this autumn, it will make way for the Adventure Cinema - a travelling outdoor movie theatre which frequents the UK - with organisers set to show three films on the big screen from the 14th to the 16th of October.

In the spirit of 'spooky season', an abundance of Halloween hits have been earmarked for the events - with something for everyone to enjoy. Supernatural dark comedy The Lost Boys will be the debut showing on October 14 at 8.00pm.
Teenage brothers Michael and Sam (played by Jason Patric and Corey Haim) move to a small town in California in this 1987 hit, and have a run in with a gang of bloodthirsty vampires (lead by Kiefer Sutherland). Sam and his friends must fight to save Michael and his new love interest Star (played by Jami Gertz) from the undead.
Next up on October 15 at 6.30pm is family classic Hocus Pocus - a Salem-set film in which a group of friends explore a derelict and abandoned house. Max (portrayed by Omri Katz) accidentally uncovers a coven of witches (played by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy) who used to live at the residence. With the help of a magical cat, the youngsters are tasked with stealing the witches' spell book to prevent them from becoming immortal.
The final showing on October 16 at 7.30pm is none other than Stanley Kubrick and Stephen King's cult classic, The Shining. Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) lands a job as a winter caretaker at the Overlook Hotel in Colorado - with aims of curing his writer's block.
His wife Wendy (Shelly Duvall) and son Danny (Danny Lloyd) join Jack at the isolated hotel, which is plagued with psychic premonitions and tales of past. With Jack becoming more and more frustrated with cabin fever, Danny's visions through his psychic abilities become more and more disturbing. The hotel's dark secrets and past are uncovered by Jack, who goes on a hell-bent rampage to massacre his family.

Tickets for each movie are £14.50, with VIP tickets also available from £20.50. The VIP package gives attendees a luxury seat in a deckchair, and a prime viewing spot for the movie.
Children can access discounted tickets for Hocus Pocus for £9.50 if they are under 12, but they must be accompanied by a paying adult.
