Sunderland will play La Liga side Real Mallorca in a friendly at the Stadium of Light at the end of July. The Black Cats will take on the Spanish club on Saturday, July 29, with kick-off at 3pm.
Javier Aguirre's side finished ninth in La Liga last season, and reached the round of 16 in the Copa del Rey. The fixture is the seventh pre-season game annnounced by Sunderland, their first at home, and it completes their summer schedule.
Tony Mowbray's men returned for pre-season training last week and their preparations step up this weekend when they visit Julio Arca's South Shields on Saturday lunchtime, before heading to Gateshead in the afternoon. They then jet to the USA where they will spend ten days, and will travel to San Antonio, Texas, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Raleigh, North Carolina.

While in the USA they will take on San Antonio FC, New Mexico United, and North Carolina FC. They then return to England in time to prepare for the game against Mallorca.
And they will round off their build-up to the new campaign with a friendly against Hartlepool United at Victoria Park on Tuesday, August 1. Sunderland's Championship season gets under way in front of the Sky TV cameras on Sunday, August 6, when newly-promoted Ipswich Town visit the Stadium of Light in a 5pm kick-off.
Less than 48 hours later, the Black Cats will be back in action in the Carabao Cup first round when League Two Crewe Alexandra arrive on Wearside on Tuesday, August 8. And Sunderland's first away game of the new season sees them travel to Preston North End on Saturday, August 12.
