Mel Gibson speaks about Scotland in first return to country in almost 30 years
Mel Gibson has been videoed speaking about Scotland in his first return to the country in almost 30 years.
Gibson, who played William Wallace in Braveheart, hasn’t been back since the film’s premiere was held at Stirling Castle in 1995.
The 66-year-old is taking part in a live show tonight in Glasgow at the city’s DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, next to Glasgow Central Station, called an “Experience with Mel Gibson”.

Scotrail cancels hundreds of train services on Sunday as rail chaos continues
Hundreds of train journeys are believed to have been cancelled on Sunday as Scotrail continues to deal with a shortage of drivers and the threat of strike action.
More than 300 services were listed as 'cancelled' by the operator's official journey tracking website early on May 29.

Passenger plane vanishes moments after take-off with 22 people on board
In world news, A passenger plane carrying 22 people has vanished minutes after taking off as the fate of those onboard remains unknown.
The Mirror reports that the small aircraft is carrying 19 passengers and three crew members disappeared on Sunday morning as it flew over a remote mountain range in Nepal.
