Simon Rimmer has been flooded with support as he announced his dad has died.
The chef from Wallasey is renowned for his role as host of popular Channel 4 programme, Sunday Brunch. The 60-year-old regularly shares updates with his life on his social media channels.
The restaurant owner has taken to Twitter to share sad news with his 271,500 followers as he announced the death of his dad, Peter. He shared a snap of alongside his dad with the caption: "It’s with great sadness that I have to announce the death of my hero, my dad Peter."

Fellow chef Tom Kitchin rushed to the comments to offer a message of support as he said: "So sorry for your loss mate. Love to you and the family x"
