Workers at the Sullom Voe oil terminal in the Shetland Islands have accepted an improved wage offer.
Around 30 of those employed by Equans FM voted to accept the offer by 80%.
They are now set to receive an 8.1% wage uplift, covering the April 2022 to end of March 2023 period. Negotiations for this year’s pay award will also start immediately.
Unite union general secretary Sharon Graham said: “Our members at Equans FM perform roles that are essential to the operations of the terminal, so it is only right that they are rewarded fairly for this work.”
The terminal workers - which include control room, electrical and field operators - previously supported taking strike action by 100% on an 85% turnout in order to secure a better deal.
Equans FM made a profit after tax of £2.3m in its accounts for the year up to December 2021.
John Clark, Unite regional industrial officer, added: “We are pleased to get this deal over the line, and for it to have the overwhelming support of our members.
“Equans FM quickly realised the determination of our members by improving upon their previous offer - it’s yet another win for Unite in the oil and gas industry.“
Unite has been involved in co-ordinating several strikes in the North Sea oil and gas sector.
This week sees 130 Petrofac and Wood Group staff walk out in separate disputes over pay and working conditions.
Unite recently announced that 700 Bilfinger workers secured a pay rise following industrial action, while 450 offshore workers at Stork rejected a revised pay offer earlier this week.
