Sugar Slightly Higher on Strength in the Brazilian Real

May NY world sugar #11 (SBK24) this morning is up +0.08 (+0.35%), and May London ICE white sugar #5 (SWK24) is up +1.40 (+0.22%).

Sugar prices today are slightly higher. Strength in the Brazilian real (^USDBRL) has boosted sugar futures after the real today climbed to a 1-week high against the dollar. The stronger real discourages export selling by Brazil's sugar producers.
