Sugar Prices Wane on Weakness in the Brazilian Real

March NY world sugar #11 (SBH24) this morning is down -0.16 (-0.70%), and May London ICE white sugar #5 (SWK24) is down -6.00 (-0.97%).

Sugar prices this morning are posting moderate losses, with London sugar falling to a 1-1/2 month low.  Weakness in the Brazilian real (^USDBRL) is undercutting sugar prices as the real today dropped to a 2-week low against the dollar.  The weaker real encourages export selling from Brazil's sugar producers.
