Sugar Prices Surge to 11-Year Highs as Global Supplies Tighten

May NY world sugar #11 (SBK23) on Thursday closed up +0.88 (+3.61%), and Aug London white sugar #5 (SWQ23) closed up +15.60 (+2.29%).

Sugar prices Thursday rallied sharply to 11-year nearest-future highs.   Signs of tighter global supplies have prompted fund buying of sugar futures over the past two weeks.
