Sugar Prices Settle Lower on Slack Demand

May NY world sugar #11 (SBK25) Tuesday closed down -0.18 (-0.95%), and May London ICE white sugar #5 (SWK25) closed down -6.30 (-1.19%).

Sugar prices Tuesday gave up an early advance and turned lower on sugar demand concerns.  However, sugar prices had underlying support from Tuesday's slump in the dollar index (DXY00) to a 4-3/4 month low.
