Sugar Prices Settle Higher on Crop Concerns in India

July NY world sugar #11 (SBN24) Friday closed up +0.19 (+0.94%), and Aug London ICE white sugar #5 (SWQ24) closed up +13.30 (+2.27%).

Sugar prices Friday shook off early losses and rallied to fresh 2-1/2 month highs.   Sugar prices have rallied sharply this week after India's agricultural agency reported spreading a fungus crop disease called red rot through India's Uttar Pradesh state, a key sugar-growing region.
