Sugar Prices Retreat as the Brazilian Real Slumps

May NY world sugar #11 (SBK25) today is down -0.28 (-1.50%), and May London ICE white sugar #5 (SWK25) is down -8.30 (-1.55%).

Sugar prices today fell to 4-week lows due to the weakness of the Brazilian real (^USDBRL).  The real dropped to a 2-1/2 month low against the dollar today, encouraging export selling from Brazil's sugar producers.
