Sugar Prices Pressured by Weakness in the Brazilian Real

October NY world sugar #11 (SBV24) today is down -0.10 (-0.490%), and Aug London ICE white sugar #5 (SWQ24) is down -11.80 (-1.92%).

Sugar prices today are moderately lower.   Weakness in the Brazilian real (^USDBRL) is undercutting sugar prices as the real today fell to a new 2-1/2 year low against the dollar.  The weaker real encouraged export selling by Brazil's sugar producers.
