Sugar Prices Post Moderate Losses as the Brazilian Real Tumbles

October NY world sugar #11 (SBV24) on Monday closed down -0.07 (-0.34%), and Aug London ICE white sugar #5 (SWQ24) closed down -12.50 (-2.09%).

Sugar prices Monday posted moderate losses.   Weakness in the Brazilian real (^USDBRL) is undercutting sugar prices as the real Monday fell to a new 2-1/2 year low against the dollar.  The weaker real encouraged export selling by Brazil's sugar producers.
