October NY world sugar #11 (SBV24) on Tuesday closed up +0.10 (0.55%), and Oct London ICE white sugar #5 (SWV24) closed up +3.70 (+0.07).

Sugar prices Tuesday posted moderate gains on strength in the Brazilian real (^USDBRL). The real rose to a 3-1/2 week high against the dollar Tuesday, discouraging export selling from Brazil's sugar producers.
